ASPIRING young hip-hop artists got a chance to interact with local captains of the industry at the Youth Hip-Hop Workshop at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Speaking to the youth, Gagasi FM’s DJ Felix Hlope said hip-hop is not just about music, it is a lifestyle and cannot be dismissed, “Hip-hop is now a force to be reckoned with.”
DJ Tira, who is also engaging on the platform, also gave youth advice about the industry and getting started, creating a healthy image for young artists. “I’m always happy to get involved in projects helping youth get into the music industry.
“Without knowledge, it is very hard to make it in the music industry, so I try to help, inspire and share my knowledge with those aspiring artists hoping to get into the industry,” he said.
Having started as a young aspiring artist himself, DJ Tira said the Youth Hip-Hop Workshop was an amazing opportunity for someone trying to get their music heard.
