Trio performs at Friends’ recital
Christopher Duigan, Junnan Sun and Aristide Du Plessis will perform at the next Friends of Music recital.

FRIENDS of Music presents a Trio recital on 28 June at Durban Jewish Centre, 44 KE Masinga Road, Durban at 7.30pm.
Christopher Duigan is one of South Africa’s leading pianists. He completed his studies at the Royal College in Manchester where he was awarded the Professional Performer’s Diploma and won first prize in the prestigious RNCM Recital Prize for pianists. Christopher is a Steinway Artist.
Junnan Sun is the principle clarinettist for the KZNPO. Junnan has performed solo and chamber music recitals in concert venues abroad such as Berlin Konzerthaus (Germany), Royal Festival Cadogen Hall and the St Paul’s Cathedral in the UK.
Aristide Du Plessis has established a reputation as one of South Africa’s leading cellists. He has performed in some of the world’s most renowned halls for example Tonhalle, Vienna Musikverein, Herkulessaal (Munich), Wiener Konzerthaus and the Berliner Philharmonic.
The Trio's programme includes Ludwig van Beethoven's Trio in B-flat major for clarinet, cello and piano, Op 11. Beethoven's Sonata for cello and piano in A major, Op 69,
Camille Saint-Saens's clarinet – Sonata E-flat Op 167 and Johannes Brahms in Trio A minor for Clarinet cello and piano Op 114.
Prelude performer is flautist, Kirsten Moody who will be accompanied by Rita Deysel. She will perform Francis Poulenc's Sonata for flute and Piano.
Tickets are R80 for members, R100 for visitors and R20 for orchestral members and students.
