KONGOS will be live in Durban on Wednesday evening, 3 August at Durban Botanic Gardens and five lucky Berea Mail readers can win tickets to see the band.
The US alternative rock band composes and records in Phoenix, Arizona, where they have lived since 1996. However, they have a strong South African connection having spent their childhood in London and South Africa where they attended Johannesburg’s Seheti School. They have an impressive following in South Africa with previous tours sold out in hours of being announced.
KONGOS’ new album, Egomaniac, was released last month with its first single Take It from Me hitting the US charts. The band will be performing several songs from the new album as well as select cuts from their previous release at the concert which will also feature local supporting acts.
Joining KONGOS on the day is local melodic rock band aKING, while indie rock band December Streets will be wrapping up the trio with their signature upbeat new-wave sound.
Tickets cost R350 from Computicket and gates open at 5pm on Wednesday evening.
