LOCAL entertainers Dave Arnold and Bernie Davenport invite the community to enjoy an evening of entertainment for a good cause at the fundraising Pommie Pub fish n chips evening on Saturday 3 September at the Hunt Road Masonic Hall.
Musgrave vocalist, and Masons district grand charity steward in KZN, Bernie Davenport said supporters of the event could look forward to “good old classics” including, Cliff Richard, Creedence Clearwater, Beatles, some disco, a sing-a-long and a comedy magic act. Davenport will be joined by one-man-band, Dave Arnold, the Manor Gardens guitarist and flutist who is keen to get the party going for a good cause.
Davenport said the funds raised would go towards the Free Masons Charity Fund, of which part will be reserved for the 2000 annual Christmas hampers distributed to the elderly. “We personally deliver the hampers at the end of the year to TAFTA homes around Durban,” he added.
