Four hands piano for Friends recital
Talented pianists, Sofia Cabruja and Carles Lama will perform in the next Friends of Music recital.
FOUR Hands Piano, featuring the acclaimed Carles Lama and Sofia Cabruja, will entertain music lovers on 18 October at Durban Jewish Centre, 44 KE Masinga (Old Fort) Road, Durban at 7.30pm.
Steinway artists Lama and Cabruja are one of Europe’s most renowned piano duos. Acclaimed by the public and critics alike for their spectacular synchronisation, mutual understanding, brilliant technique, quality of sound and infinite passion and elegance. They regularly perform in recitals for four hands in all the capitals of the world. Their repertoire from Bach to 21st century music and includes all major works for piano for four hands. They will present “a magical hour of Spanish music”.
Prelude performers will be two artists from the UKZN Opera School (OSCA), soprano, Amanda Kosi and lyric baritone, Njabulo Ntobela.
Tickets are R80 for members, R100 for visitors and R20 for orchestral members and students.
