Good Food and Wine Show on its way
The Giggling Gourmet, one of South Africa’s most-loved food personalities will be among the celebrity chefs in town this weekend for the this year’s show.
GIGGLING Gourmet Jenny Morris – known to all her fans around the country as the Giggling Gourmet, one of South Africa’s most-loved food personalities will be in town this weekend for this year’s Good Food and Wine show at the Durban Exhibition Centre from 28 to 30 October.
The popular celebrity chef said she is looking forward to interacting with audiences. Morris also admittedthat Durban is one of her favourite local cities where “the people are always so hospitable and generous.”
Morris's formula for success is to “entertain informatively and inform entertainingly”, something she does with flair. Although she has cooked for dozens of celebrities and royals, (including Prince Charles, Thabo Mbeki, Charlize Theron and Al Gore), Morris remains down to earth, and when she's not wowing the public she can be found in her kitchen stirring a pot of something fragrant and delicious.
The Show will also see the SCASA Coffee Competitions’ KZN Regionals Barista Championship at a dedicated Creative Coffee Theatre. Visitors to the show will be able to witness the Cup Tasters Event, which is a test of the senses and there is also the popular Latte Art Event, where the baristas impress judges with their milk pouring skills, producing flawless tulips, rosettas, hearts and other patterns.
