Vocal quartet for Baroque concert

The Odeion Vocal Consort from Bloemfontein will perform at the penultimate concert of Baroque 2000's season.

BAROQUE 2000’s penultimate concert of the year is on Sunday 27 November at 11.30 am at the Church of the Monastery Mariannhill.

The concert features the Odeion Vocal Consort of Bloemfontein. Directed by Lance Phillip, this quartet has made three previous and greatly acclaimed appearances with Baroque 2000. They will sing Bach’s six movement Cantata for the first Sunday of Advent, Nun komm der Heiden Heiland, and Giacomo Antonio Perti’s Magnificat in D. The other works are Handel’s concerto Grosso op 6 no 1 for strings and Telemann’s Suite TWV 55:D6 for cello obbligato and strings.

The Monastery tea garden will be open for breakfast and light lunches.
