Watch: From R4 to R10 000 – Street vendor’s life changes in minutes

What started as a simple snack sale turned into pure magic, and it’s melting hearts across South Africa.

During a recent walk through the city streets, local good Samaritan and content creator Keegan ‘Bigmankg’ Gordon stopped at a humble street stall to buy a packet of snacks for just R4. The vendor, Thomas, told him he didn’t have change when Keegan handed over a R100 note. That moment changed everything.

Gordon asked how much all the snacks on the table would cost. “About R90,” Thomas replied. Without hesitation, Keegan offered him R2 000 before – in true Bigmankg style – he took it a step further and handed over R10 000 to buy everything on the table.

“R10 000? You sure?” a stunned Thomas asked, still trying to process what was happening. When he realised it wasn’t a scam, he couldn’t hold back his joy, saying he planned to use the money to build a house back home in Limpopo.

But here’s what made it even more beautiful: Instead of keeping the moment to themselves, Thomas and Gordon began giving away the snacks for free to strangers passing by, and Gordon upped the happiness stakes by handing out more cash to passers-by.

Two men, one small act of kindness, and a ripple of love that touched many.

Sometimes the world really does give back to those with good hearts.
