CPF hosts a car show to raise funds
They were remarkable cars that played music during the event.
The Boksburg North Sector Four CPF raised funds through a car show on September 10.
They did the initiative in partnership with Nitro Crew and Gas Monkey.
According to the deputy chairperson of the Sector Four CPF Ashley Naidoo, they initiated the event to raise funds for buying equipment and uniforms as the CPF.
“We need the uniforms and equipment to patrol and keep the Boksburg North area safe. It’s not only that reason that we are raising funds but we also know that in order for us to be safe and visible during patrols we need equipment and uniforms. We managed to raise R5 200 during this event.
“We are going to spend all that money on buying equipment and uniforms. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that supported our fundraising initiative.
“It’s our first time fundraising in this manner. This is a unique fundraiser that gives the community of Boksburg time to listen to good music and look at customised cars at the same time. It’s not often that you see fundraising events like this one.
“People enjoyed themselves today. It’s a community-orientated fundraiser. A good-looking car won the show and shine competition and the car with the best sound won the car sound competition.”
Mineon Pistorius from the Gas Monkey Pub and Grill said they decided to partner with the CPF because it’s a good initiative, and as Gas Monkey, they will also get a chance to give back to the community of Boksburg.
“The CPF is doing a great job in keeping our area safe and crime-free, so we partnering with them is an honour for us as Gas Monkey. We hope and wish to do more initiatives with the CPF in the future,” said Pistorius.
