Alarm over hatred graffiti in Sunward Park
A Sunward Park resident is concerned over the hatred graffiti words that's been sprayed onto his neighbours' concrete wall.
The words ‘boesman wraak’, ‘swart gevaar’ and ‘f*#k whites’ has left its mark on the high security wall of a property that is situated next to a park.
According to the complainant, it’s not the graffiti that bothers him, but the message it carries.
“It incites hatred and violence. We don’t need such negative messages,” the complainant said.
It was the first time that this specific house has been the target of such crime.
It is unknown who the culprits are.
“It might just be innocent children, but I feel it’s necessary to bring this crime to the community’s attention,” he said.
