A 17-year-old Grade 12 learner from Oosrand Secondary School died after jumping from a moving taxi in Germiston on February 8.
It is alleged that the learner was assaulted by passengers in the taxi before she subsequently jumped from the moving taxi.
She died on the scene.
According to the Gauteng Department of Education the school community was informed of this incident and the principal, together with the school management team, visited the bereaved family at their Ramaphosa informal settlement home.
