Golden Homes Boksburg reaches out to the needy
The business ensured the vulnerable residents are treated to delicious food, good company and lots of fun-filled activities during the Easter weekend.
As a way of giving back to the community, Golden Homes Boksburg reached out to the scores of needy children and adults under the care of St Francis Care Centre in Eveleigh.
The charity initiative, headed by the company’s Marichris Bell, saw the Golden Homes team descend on the centre on April 3 where they gave some much-needed support to the residents.
The team donated adult and children’s winter clothing, including baby blankets and shoes, food items, adult and children’s nappies, and other basic necessities.
As part of the act of kindness, the company also hosted an Easter egg hunt for the children.
The fun-filled activity was followed by a scrumptious lunch prepared by the Golden Homes Boksburg team.
According to Bell, the real estate agency decided to bless the 31 children, including infants under a year old, and 16 frail adults at the centre.
The project was described as a success and was made possible by donations collected from generous residents, business owners and friends.
“At Golden Homes Boksburg, we believe in giving back to our community, especially towards orphans and old people that need special care,” said Bell.
