It’s been two weeks and no arrests have been made in connection with the cash-in-transit heist which happened along Van Dyk Road, Boksburg East.
According to police spokesperson Col Brenda Muridili, the police are still searching for the group of men who made off with an undisclosed amount of money during the CIT robbery.
Investigators are appealing to anyone with information on the robbery to call Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or send a tip-off on the MySAPS app.
In the robbery, a gang of heavily armed men rammed a cash van off the road by a green Mercedes-Benz, causing the cash van to stop.

Police reported that the robbers made off with an undisclosed amount of money in a white Mercedes-Benz and a black Audi after they used explosives to bomb the cash vehicle. A source has told the Advertiser about R6.2-million worth of cash was stolen during the robbery.
Two security guards were injured in the incident and rushed to hospital.
Injured
Meanwhile, the 38-year-old man from Thembisa who suffered injuries after being struck by debris from the G4S van when it was blown up by the gang of robbers has been discharged from hospital on April 4. He was treated for lung and liver injuries.

“I am slowly getting better every day. The pains are not as severe as they used to be before,” he said.
The man was in the yard at his workplace located next to the robbery scene when he saw pieces of debris from the blown-up vehicle coming his way. He tried to get out of harm’s way, but it was too late.
He said pieces of the wreckage hit him on his back before he fell to the ground.
