Van Dyk Park mini-dumpsite to undergo facelift

The public will still be able to access the facility to dispose of their waste.

Residents are advised that the Van Dyk Park mini-dumpsite in Boksburg will undergo extensive renovations from February 1 to ensure the facility is spacious enough to take in more waste.

The dumpsite is used for public off-loading, accepting garden waste not weighing over a tonne and all recyclable waste material.

When the renovations commence next month, members of the public would still be able to access the facility to dispose of their waste.

The renovation work to be effected to the facility include installing the entrance and exit gates, construction of ablution facilities, administration offices, extension of the wall fence, paving and additional skip bins.

Upon completion of the renovations, the facility will be bigger, better and safer for users.
