Curro Academy Parkdene is an independent school situated in Parkdene, Boksburg. The school accommodates children from three years to grade 11 in 2022, each with a maximum capacity of 35 learners per class, and we are looking forward to extending our offering to Grade 12 in 2023.
Our Preschool and Primary School provide a safe, nurturing environment where children are cared for and engaged in play-based developmental activities. Our classrooms are designed to encourage educational curiosity, while our playgrounds are equipped with play structures that inspire physical development through movement and play.
Our dedicated teachers, well-rounded approach, and enhanced curriculum (which includes using Tablets and Laptops in class), empower learners with 21st-century skills and knowledge to grow into high-performing, self-confident individuals. As a Curro Academy school, we aim to provide the most affordable school fees possible without compromising our academic standards.
We offer an extensive subject offering in our High School that ensures each learner can pursue a path that supports reaching their personal, educational, and eventual-workplace goals. If a subject cannot be offered face-to-face, then the curriculum is further supplemented with an online subject offering that is still facilitated on-site called Curro Choice.
Some of the academic value-adds include a fully equipped science lab, an IT lab, a Robotics classroom, and a dedicated Art Classroom. Each subject offers its own unique specialisation and our dedicated teachers and well-rounded approach prepare learners for the NSC examinations at the end of Grade 12.
The enriched academic curriculum is actively supplemented by traditional sporting and cultural extra-murals, as well as a strong focus on the development of strong leadership potential in all our learners. We believe that participation in activities plays an important role in promoting health, discipline, self-confidence, and community. Therefore, our wide range of activities, including Curro Create programmes, are designed to help learners discover their inherent talents, or to broaden their exposure beyond their current reference framework.
We also offer value-added programmes as part of the school fees, that include character-building programmes, career guidance and entrepreneurship skills.
