Race raises funds for Teddy Bear Foundation

The Cross The Line Half Marathon, sponsored Food Lover’s Market, raised over R6 000 for the Teddy Bear Foundation.

The half marathon was held on Northrand Road in Boksburg on May 19.

Some of the runners enjoy a moment with a therapy dog.

According to race organiser, Kate Wood, they raised R6 510 for the organisation, while the Street Buddyz, an Ekurhuleni-based food truck offered 10% of their profit made from sales on race day.

The Teddy Bear Foundation assists abused children by accompanying them step by step on their journey to healing.

The race raised over R6 000 for the Teddy Bear Foundation.

This initiative was also spearheaded by the Top Dog Therapy team, an NPO dedicated to improving the lives of people though the healing power of animals.

“Top Dogs assists the Teddy Bear Foundation with trained therapy dogs. These dogs help the children with healing,” said Wood.
