Reiger Park SAPS is reaching out to the community for support in addressing safety and service delivery challenges.
Residents are encouraged to contribute suggestions and ideas through the station’s suggestion box, which has long been empty.
According to Constable Msimanga, this initiative is part of an ongoing effort to strengthen the police-public relationship.
“We believe that our community members harbour valuable insights and suggestions that can help us improve our service delivery and tackle crime effectively.
“The suggestion box allows everyone to voice their opinions confidentially and constructively,” said Msimanga.

The police are particularly interested in feedback on issues such as:
• Improving communication between the police and the community.
• Ideas for crime prevention initiatives.
• Suggestions for making the police station more accessible and user-friendly.
The feedback will be reviewed regularly by the station management team, who are committed to implementing practical and community-driven solutions.

Msimanga emphasised that the success of this initiative depends on community participation.
“We are here to serve and protect, but we can’t do it alone. By working together, we can make Reiger Park a safer place for everyone,” he concluded.
Community leader Mmapheello Mokoena, chairperson of the Reiger Park CPF, praised the initiative.
“This is a great way for the community to have their voices heard, and play an active role in creating a safer environment. We urge all residents to participate,” she said.
Community members may visit the station or call 011 916 7000 for more information or to report any issues.
