Twins make history as head girl and head boy
The announcement marks a historic milestone for the school, as the dynamic brother-sister duo steps into leadership roles that span from Grade R to Grade 12.

For the first time in the history of Sion Private Academy Clearwater Campus, they selected twin siblings as head boy and head girl.
The announcement marks a historic milestone for the school, as the dynamic brother and sister, Alexander and Neveen Thekrallah, step into leadership roles that span from Grade R to Grade 12.
Ulandi Senekal, the owner of Sion Clearwater Campus, praised the twins for their individuality and collective strength.
“Though they are twins, they are unique in their ways and that makes their dynamic so amazing.
“Neveen is outspoken, open-hearted and deeply involved, while Alexander is more reserved; a mastermind. Both are academically strong and have earned the admiration of their peers.”
Senekal said the twins had been part of the school since Grade Eight and are consistent achievers, having been in the top 10 academically throughout their high school years.
“Their appointment reflects their values, morals and the support of their parents. They are the product of commitment and solid family support, evident in how they carry themselves.
“The selection process involved campaigning among peers, rigorous interviews, and assessments by an independent panel that included department officials.
“The decision was, however, unanimous, and the twins excelled at every stage.”

Leadership with vision
Neveen said she worked hard toward this goal.
“I was a prefect in Grade Eight, a prefect monitor in Grade Nine and an ambassador in Grade 10.
“Each year brought new accomplishments and with the support of my teachers and parents, I told myself I would one day be the head girl – and here I am.”

Alexander, who described himself as more of a reserved leader, found inspiration in his sister and a close friend who was head boy last year.
“I always enjoyed helping my sister, and we have done everything together. Seeing my friend in this role last year inspired me to step up as well. I’m committed to leading by example and fulfilling my promises.”

The twins emphasised the importance of honesty, effort and serving others in their leadership roles.
“We are examples for the school community and will make them proud,” they said.

Their mother, Haifa, expressed immense pride in their achievements.
“We are thrilled to see them in these roles. They will lead by example, remain honest, and continue to inspire others. I know they will make me proud.”
