Ladies putt to victory at championship

The ladies showed their mettle to win their divisions, despite the challenging conditions.

Barbara Collett, Lynda and Pam Naidoo were the big winners during the Ekurhuleni Senior Women’s Golf (ESWG) championships at Benoni Country Club on February 16, after clinching the silver, bronze and copper divisions, respectively.

Collett was the overall winner in the silver division with 89 points gross, with Lezette Vermaak claiming runner-up honours with 90 points counted in.

The copper division winner Pam Naidoo receives her prize from Doret Lombard from Schaldor Plastics.

Smit grossed 90 points to win the bronze division, while Lenore Simpson was second with 94 points gross.

Naidoo claimed the copper division title with 34 points counted in, beating Mingaye Hare, who finished second on 34 points.

“Well done, ladies, for the excellent results under difficult conditions,” said ESWG president Charmaine Stone.
