The Lazarus Legacy Foundation (LLF) will host its ninth annual charity golf day at Lake Club Benoni on September 11, bringing together businesses, community leaders and residents to raise funds for programmes that uplift vulnerable communities.
The annual fundraising event plays a vital role in supporting the foundation’s work in education, health and welfare, economic development and community building.
Funds raised will help provide bursaries and educational support for learners, maintain the foundation’s community garden, assist families in need, supply sanitary products to young girls and expand support for orphanages and child-care initiatives.
Last year’s golf day enabled the foundation to continue several community projects, including its weekly soup kitchen, which serves more than 600 people, monthly grocery vouchers for families in need and bursaries for deserving students.

“We are excited to once again bring together businesses and community members for a day that goes beyond golf.
Every sponsorship and every player contributes to changing lives and creating opportunities for those who need them most,” said the LLF team.
The foundation is encouraging businesses and individuals to support the event through sponsorships, prize donations or four-ball entries.
The day will conclude with prize-giving and an evening of networking, with all proceeds going towards sustaining and expanding the foundation’s community programmes.
