More winter goodies handed over

Donations of knitted items, balls of wool and knitting tools poured in, Helpende Hand Solidariteit will help get them to community memebers this winter.

On July 15, Boksburg Advertiser handed over bags of knitted items, balls of wool, crochet hooks and knitting needles to Helpende Hand Solidariteit, converting reader generosity into practical winter relief for local families. The donations, collected through our Winter Wool Drive, will be used to make and distribute blankets, scarves and other warm items and to restock supplies for artisans who sew for the underprivileged. The donation also supports the Solidariteit movement’s wider aim to reduce poverty, boost education and encourage community self-reliance. At the handover are Mari-Louise (9), Elize Kluyts (Winter Wool Drive coordinator), Annie du Pisanie and Shammahne Ferreira of Solidariteit and Norman Dawe (Boksburg Advertiser).
