The following cases were opened at Boksburg SAPS during the festive season.
Murder
• On the morning of December 24, police attended a murder scene at Angelo informal settlement where a woman was stabbed in the chest, allegedly by her boyfriend. The victim was identified by her mother.
• Another body was found in Angelo informal settlement on December 25 at 05:45. The man was stabbed in the head.
• On December 26, a man was stabbed at a tavern in Angelo informal settlement and succumbed to his injuries,
Robbery
• Four suspects held employees at Checkers Hyper at gunpoint and made off with seven laptops on December 29.
The incident happened around 13:42.
The robbers fired two warning shots, however, nobody was injured.
They were driving a white Toyota Yaris.
Shooting
Two security officers were shot at Vutha Bridge filling station, in Commissioner Street and taken to hospital on January 3.
The incident took place at 01:00.
The motive of the shooting is still unknown and the investigation continues.
