Woman killed in shooting, three men arrested
Police could not confirm the motive for the shooting.
The police arrested three men after a woman was killed and two men injured in a shooting in the parking lot of the Key Largo Shopping Centre on May 18.
According to the SAPS district office’s spokesperson, Captain Neldah Sekgobela, police received a complaint about shooting at the centre at about 02:50.
“Upon arrival, police found an Indian woman laying on her right side with a gunshot wound in her upper body,” said Sekgobela.
The woman was certified dead on the scene.
Sekgobela said two men, who are brothers, also sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to a private hospital in Alberton.
The spokesperson could not confirm the motive for the shooting.
She said the three men were arrested for murder and attempted murder.
Sekgobela said the men will appear at the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
It is still unclear if there are other suspects still at large.
