Spokesperson of the police station, Constable Johannes Msimanga urges community members to seek help in domestic disputes rather than resorting to violence.

A 28-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend, 30-year-old Lucky Modlama, to death during a domestic altercation on January 26.
According to the spokesperson of the Reiger Park Police Station, Constable Johannes Msimanga, the incident took place after the couple had been drinking together at a tavern.
“The girlfriend left the establishment earlier to return home and sleep, while the deceased remained at the tavern.
“At approximately 04:00, the deceased arrived home and an argument ensued between him and his girlfriend.
“The situation escalated into a physical altercation, during which the suspect grabbed a knife and stabbed the deceased once in the chest,” Msimnga said.
Msimanga said emergency services were called to the scene, but Modlama was declared dead upon their arrival.
“The weapon was confiscated. The suspect was arrested and taken into police custody.
“The matter has not yet been placed on the court roll due to ongoing investigations. However, the suspect is not off the hook, and further inquiries are being conducted,” said Msimanga.
He urged community members to seek help in domestic disputes rather than resorting to violence.
