WATCH: Water supply in Boksburg West disrupted after pipe burst on North Rand Road
It still unclear when the water supply will be restored.

Residents in the western part of Boksburg are experiencing water outages after a water pipe burst on North Rand Road, near the corner of Rietfontein Road, yesterday afternoon (March 16).
Water has been flowing from the burst pipe causing taps to run dry in areas such as Dayanglen, Eveleigh, Jansen Park and Ravenswood.
Ward 22 Clr Madelaine Muller believes the burst has been caused by poor maintenance and the pipe’s age.
Muller said she escalated the matter and spoke to the chief area engineer. Feedback received was that the recent rainy weather has delayed repairs.

“No estimated restoration time can be given at the moment,” said Muller.
The Boksburg Advertiser is awaiting comment from the metro.
