Rand Water maintenance to affect water supply
Residents and businesses are advised to make the necessary preparations to minimize inconvenience during this period.
The City of Ekurhuleni has announced that Rand Water will carry out maintenance at Zwartkopjes pump station from 05:00 on June 30 to 07:00 on July 2.
Affected areas in Boksburg include Sunward Park, Van Dyk Park, Freeway Park, Parkdene, Cinderella, Elspark, Groeneweide, Klipoortjie, Boksburg South, Boksburg Industrial, Boksburg CBD, Farrar Park, Libradene, Atlasville, Beyers Park, Anderbolt and Parkhaven.
Water tankers will be deployed to the affected areas to provide temporary relief.
Full restoration of the water supply may take up to seven days after completion of the maintenance. High-lying areas and those receiving supply from pumping systems may take longer to recover.
