Wool drive best so far this year

Community members are still welcome to support the project.

This year’s Winter Wool Drive has been the most successful to date, with the community donating wool and organisations knitting and crocheting round the clock to keep the needy warm this winter.

We recently received a donation of 75 scarves, 46 beanies, a blanket and three pairs of booties from Scrappy Angels Quilting Group and Crazy Crochetters.

Project coordinator Elize Kluyts urged community members to open their hearts to help keep the needy warm.

Wool of all qualities, quantities and textures is welcome. Knitted items such as beanies, scarves and blankets will also be appreciated.

The items will be donated to organisations that care for the needy.

Drop off your donations of wool at the following points in Boksburg until the end of July:
• Caxton Local Media, 20 Sydney Road, Ravenswood
• Bernina, The Terminal, Unit 4, Cnr Trichardt and Dr Vosloo roads
• Med-Leigh Pharmacy, The Square Centre, Rietfontein Road
• Hecker Nursery, 1 Kirschner Road, Westwood
• Parkrand Slaghuis, 180 Trichardt and Kirsch Street, Parkrand
• Vellie Boutique, Corner of 6th Street and Rietfontein Road
• Eyeland Optometrist, Shop 17E East Rand Mall.
