Methodist Church spoils the elderly
The elderly residents of Cosmos Old Age Home enjoyed the treat.
Residents of Cosmos Old Age Home, in Van Dyk Park, were treated to snacks and gift packs by members of the Boksburg North Methodist Church Ladies Fellowship on October 7.
The gift packs consisted of beanies, scarves, bracelets and socks.

The fellowship’s chairperson, Creschen van den Heuvel, said they have been visiting the old age home for over four years to treat the elderly to meals and gifts.
“Many residents aren’t visited by their families and we want them to feel special. Our fellowship is passionate about helping others.

“Most of the items in the gift packs were knitted by women in our church,” she said.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the congregation of Boksburg North Methodist Church for making this initiative possible by contributing. Also, thank you to the staff of Cosmos Old Age Home for granting us the opportunity to again enjoy ourselves with the elderly.”
Anyone who would like more information or make a donation to the Boksburg North Methodist Church Women’s Fellowship may contact Creschen on 082 210 8630 or call the church office on 011 917 3573.
