Inspiring mother and daughter event held in Reiger Park
The event brought together families for a day of spiritual enrichment, meaningful conversations, and motivational insights
A spirit of love, purpose, and unity filled the air at the AFM Lifestyle Family Centre in Reiger Park on May 24 as mothers and daughters gathered for an uplifting and empowering event.
The theme of the event centred on the sacred bond between mothers and daughters, where attendees enjoyed delicious beverages and were entertained by guest speakers.
Guest speaker Robert Adams said the mother and daughter event was designed to remind everyone that they matter to God
“Every one of us has a God-given purpose as a mother and as a daughter.”
Meanwhile, speaker Stephanie Julius offered a touching reminder about the depth and strength of the mother-daughter bond.
“The relationship between mothers and daughters is nurtured by communicating openly and supporting each other through life’s challenges. Their relationship is a precious gift, and with love, trust, and understanding, as women, we can overcome any obstacle and create a lifelong connection that brings joy and fulfilment to both lives and generations.”
One of the organises, Joline Allies, said the event exceeded expectations on all fronts.
“The event was not just good, but it met its goals and objectives, exceeding expectations and it left a positive impression on those who attended.
“It was inspiring and memorable, and we believe it was a value-added experience. The outcome was better than we hoped for because we received positive feedback from all the attendees.”
The event also opened doors for community partnerships. Motivational speaker July Abdul, who was deeply moved by the event, expressed a desire to collaborate with the church in initiatives aimed at helping underprivileged children in the community, and we hope more stakeholders come on board.
“Most of the girls look for happiness in different places if they are not told by their loved ones that they are loved, that they are beautiful. They need to be pointed to biblical examples and encouraged to reach for the stars because the sky is not the limit,” she added.
