Kingfisher Avenue closed for heavy machinery removal — Authorities urge motorists to exercise caution, follow signage, and consider alternative routes during this period.

The City of Ekurhuleni has announced the temporary closure of a section of Kingfisher Avenue in Sunward Park today (July 17) to facilitate the removal of an industrial machine.
The affected stretch lies between Aquarius Road and the entrance to the Sunward Park sports ground (opposite Sunward Park Hospital, direction South/Elspark) and will be closed from 10:00 to 14:00.
“Since the roadway is a dual lane going in the same direction, the opposite side will be converted into two-way traffic in the interim,” explained metro spokesperson Zweli Dlamini.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution, follow signage, and consider alternative routes during this period.
