Illegal firearm taken off the Boksburg CBD streets

Authorities urge members of the public to remain eyes and ears of the police.

Police in Boksburg arrested a man on February 25 after he was found in possession of an unlicensed firearm in the Boksburg CBD.

According to a police report, officers acted swiftly on a tip that a suspicious individual was allegedly carrying a firearm in the area. The information led the team directly to a man who matched the informant’s description.
Upon searching the suspect, police discovered the firearm in his possession. He was immediately arrested at the scene and is expected to face charges related to the possession of an unlicensed firearm.
