City steps up grass, tree maintenance

Access the maintenance schedule for your area at your Customer Care Centre.

The City of Ekurhuleni says it has allocated the necessary resources to address grass cutting and tree pruning.

According to CoE spokesperson Zweli Dlamini, the rapid growth of grass and trees is a normal seasonal occurrence as rainfall increases and temperatures rise.

“Departments are currently carrying out grass-cutting and tree-pruning operations in open spaces, community parks and along roadsides.

“The work aims to improve visibility, ensure easier access and create safer public spaces for residents.”

The city has an established maintenance schedule to ensure that open spaces across Ekurhuleni are serviced timeously.

Residents who wish to find out when maintenance is scheduled for their areas can access the relevant schedules at the city’s customer care centres.
