Brave Blues fight back

Boksburg FC fought back from 2-0 down to draw with Bonaero Park, in an away match, on Wednesday, July 10.

The Blues were two goals down early in the first half and showed character to fight back from what seemed like a hopeless position.

Goals from Mario Maia and Michael Viljoen had Boksburg on even terms by halftime.

The match ended at 2-2.

This result by Boksburg follows a 3-1 defeat to Sandria.

Boksburg had also put on a brave performance in that match.

They played most of the match with 10 men, after Matthew Cooley was sent off.

The Blues had led 1-0 at halftime, but the numerical disadvantage eventually told.

Boksburg will be playing in the cup quarter-final, on a date which will be confirmed.

This is after they recently beat Sunward Park 5-2 in the previous round.

The local side have had a busy schedule lately, as they also beat Alberton 2-0 in a league match recently.
