BFC maintain unbeaten run

The Boksburg Football Club handed Olympia Football Club a 3-0 defeat, in a clinical display, to maintain their 100 per cent run during a chilly and windy afternoon, at the Boksburg City Stadium, on Saturday, April 18.

Forwards Michael Viljoen, Eduardo Cassonga and Tawanda Muzak netted for the home side, in the Eastern League Premier Division clash.

The Blues played their first game of the league, a five-goal thriller against Impala Football Club, on April 15.

This ended at 3-2 in the Boksburg side’s favour, allowing them to begin their new campaign with a win.

Asked about his side’s performance, Blues coach Garth Cooley paid tribute to the team’s improved unity.

“I thought it was a great performance from the lads,” he said.

“We are starting to gel as a team and you can see it with the results we’re getting; we are still improving.” – @SabeloBoksburg
