Big clashes at Aces Tennis League
The weekend of March 5 and 6 saw some big match-ups in the Aces Tennis League in Atlasville.
In a top-of-the-table Premier Division clash between leader Kevin Taylor and Neal Redfern, the former tightened his grip on the top of the standings after emerging victorious.
Taylor won the contest 7-6; 6-1.
In the day’s other Premier Division battles, Reno Smalberger defeated Timothy Hills 6-2; 6-4, leaving him second on the table. Brad Ferreira was too good for Clive Crichton in a 6-1; 6-1 win.
In the Open Division 1, Mike Prinsloo walked away with the ‘W’ in a 7-6; 6-2 final score while Albert van der Merwe came second best to Ettiene Bourreau in a 6-3; 0-6; 13-10 score.
Other results:
Open Division 2: Delia Agliotti defeated Samantha Luke 6-3; 6-2; and Lucas van der Merwe defeated Rene de Klerk 6-0; 6-2.
Entry Division: Claydon Thomas defeated Mike Kolbe 6-2. – @SabeloBoksburg
