BAC time trial is back

Members who still can to collect a Comrades goodie bag can now do so at the club

One of the Boksburg Athletic Club’s (BAC) mainstay events, the time trial, has returned.

The first time trial took place on August 19. The time trial will be held every Wednesday at the club at the same time. Moreover, for athletes that still need to collect their Comrades goodie bag, these are now available for collection at the club.

BAC time trial tips: • Arrive early to register and get your temperature taken and sanitise. • Bring your own water in a clearly identifiable water bottle to avoid any mix-ups. • Wear a buff for the duration of the event. You are permitted to lower the buff when you are running, but please cover your mouth and nose with the buff when interacting with other runners and people. • Maintain a distance of at least 2m from the nearest runner at all times, especially at the start and the finish. • Results will be captured by a timekeeper to reduce contact and risk of contamination. Please be patient and give your name and time to the timekeeper. • The pub will not be open until further notice Tuesday track sessions will resume in due course, but we will start with time trials.
