Some gym members met with closed doors on Tuesday morning

Two of Boksburg's bigger gyms were busy preparing a safe environment into which to invite members back

With President Cyril Ramaphosa announcing on August 15 the further easing of the lockdown regulations, which allowed most industries to open, millions of active people are excited about finally returning to the gym, albeit under extremely strict rules.

However Boksburg’s Gym Company and Virgin Active members will have to wait just a little longer until they can return as both gyms are working hard to ensure that their customers are safe when the anticipated influx in gyms takes place sooner rather than later.

The Advertiser visited these establishments on Tuesday (August 18) to witness the long-awaited return of the thousands who’ve been waiting for the easier times announced by the president. The gyms, however, were still getting ready and customers had not yet returned to doing what they love. The Advertiser will keep you updated.
