CGA responds to new club application
The club will be situated in Sunward Park, Boksburg
Former Boksburg Athletic Club (BAC) chairperson and multiple Comrades Marathon finisher Benzi Tenza, along with partners Maria Gumede and Hulikani Nyathi, are making inroads in the Ekurhuleni athletics scene by starting a new athletics club.
The trio worked together in 2016 when their brain child Team C16, an Ekurhuleni training group for athletes from clubs across Ekurhuleni, was born.
They have again teamed up and they have since submitted the club’s registration to Central Gauteng Athletics (CGA). The club will be situated in Sunward Park, Boksburg.
Much to the trio’s delight and everyone else involved in the new club’s formation, CGA has responded much earlier than expected.
The new club’s name is understood to be revealed at its launch in January 2021. The Advertiser will continue to update on new developments.
