Siddiqah joins Janine Van Wyk FC
Siddiqah plans to win a lot of trophies for herself and the team.
Siddiqah Moola (9), who played for the Boksburg based footbal club, Superstars Academy, has joined Janine Van Wyk FC.
This is after she showed good playing skills during the trials held by the club on March 10.
Shan Naidoo, the founder of Superstars Academy, said Siddiqah deserves to play for JVW because she is an exceptional player.
“Saddiqah is a good player to watch and I’m proud of her. She was named the best player of the Olympia soccer tournament that was held in Bedfordview recently.
“She joined our academy last year and you could easily notice that she was passionate about soccer. Credit must be given to her former couches Gabriella Salgado and Robyn Moodlay who refined her natural talent.
“Our main responsibility as an academy is to develop players and give them the opportunity to play for good teams.”
Siddiqah’s mother Firyal Hussein said her daughter started playing soccer from only three years old.
“She played soccer at crèche and when the crèche closed down, she was heartbroken because she knew that she was no longer going to play the game that she loved.
“We decided to find her a team and we took her to Euro Soccer School. In 2021 she joined Superstars Academy and she enjoyed herself under the management of two great couches Gabriella Salgado and Robyn Moodlay,” said Hussein.
Siddiqah said she feels good to join JVW, even though she was not expecting to play for such a big team.
“I plan to win a lot of trophies for myself and the team. I want to prove myself as a player because I have joined the best female soccer team in South Africa,” said Siddiqah.
