Kayden Barnard took first place at the Commonwealth Judo Championships in Malta on April 6. He competed in the U18 60kg cadet group four category and scored 30 points in three wins. His mother, Elmarie, said they are excited that he participated in the championships and came home with gold. "What a remarkable success. We are so proud of Kayden; he is our fighting spirit." Hoerskool Oosterlig also congratulated the learner on his achievement.
