Athletes from Goju Karate Academy, Parkrand made their presence known during the recent SASKA National Championships, held at the Brakpan Indoor Sports Centre.
The 23 participating karateka took to the mats claiming a total of 36 medals, 17 gold, 10 silver and nine bronze.
Sensei Tarryn Madgwick says friendly tournaments such as these give participants invaluable floor time ahead of next year’s WUKF World Championships in Sweden.
