FOA impresses at league

FOA has secured a promotion to the Gauteng Development Promotional League (GDPL).

The Future of Africa Academy (FOA) U13, U15 and U17 teams recently won the Ekuhuleni Gold One Development League.

They played in the last league matches of the season held at the local team’s home grounds on Atlas Road.
All the FOA teams had a good day at the office and dominated.

Here are the results:
U13: FOA 3 – 0 St Frusquin
U15: FOA 2 – 0 St Frusquin
U17: FOA 5 – 0St Frusquin

Owami Tshabalala is one of the goal scorers for Future of Africa Academy’s U17 team.

FOA goal scorers for the U13 team are Kgotso Matlala, Pule Matuka and Bonisiwe Makhubela.

Omphile Xaba and Owami Tshabalala were the ones who put points on the scoreboard for the U15 team.

Lihle Khumalo, Owami Tshabalala, Emmanuel Adekoya and Kelvin Ohene-ba Siaw scored goals for the U17 team.

Future of Africa’s U15 team in action against St Frusquin.

According to the FOA chairperson, they have achieved the highest points across all divisions, which secured FOA a promotion to the Gauteng Development Promotional League (GDPL).

“We look forward to competing in the GDPL league and our goal is to take the lead there for a promotion to GDL.”
