It was a day of beautiful technique and well-earned recognition as East Rand BJJ celebrated its latest belt promotions on June 28.

East Rand Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (ERBJJ) Academy was abuzz with excitement and pride on June 28 as students, coaches and supporters came together to celebrate the spirit of jiu-jitsu and the promotion of dedicated athletes.

“It was an awesome day with beautiful jiu-jitsu on display,” said head coach Brandon Newman, a 2nd-degree black belt, who proudly led the promotions.
After a full day of training, sparring and showcasing technical brilliance, the academy ended the event with a belt ceremony, honouring three standout members for their hard work, discipline, and progression in the sport.
