Brits bags gold in Cape Town
The bodybuilder now has an opportunity to represent his country in the United Kingdom.
Boksburg proudly celebrates another sporting success, as bodybuilder Jannie ‘JJ Brits’ (34), from Impala Park, claimed top honours at a major national bodybuilding event in Cape Town recently.
JJ competed in the IBFF Pro Classic Bodybuilding division, stepping on stage in the Mother City for the first time – and he didn’t disappoint. Facing a field of over 100 top athletes, he walked away with first place, impressing both judges and spectators with his stage presence and physique
.JJ’s journey to the top has been built on years of discipline, dedication, and consistency, values he says are the foundation of success in the sport.
“There is no magic trick to this. You stay committed, you show up every day, and give it your all.”

Following his impressive win, JJ received an invitation to represent South Africa at an international competition in Coventry, the United Kingdom, on October 26 – a prestigious opportunity that could bring him global recognition.
To help make this dream a reality, JJ is currently appealing for sponsorship and financial support to cover the costs of competing abroad. Any business, organisation, or individual interested in supporting a local athlete on the world stage is encouraged to get in touch.
JJ extends his thanks to his current sponsor, Psychoskull Supplements, for their ongoing support, and gives special credit to his wife, Jené Brits, for being his number one supporter throughout his journey.
