Young stars shine at Green Turf Kids Padel League finale

According to the owners, Janine Snyman and George Hadji, Green Turf continues to cement itself as a hub for youth sport in the area.

The Green Turf Kids Padel League wrapped up in style, celebrating a season of growth, grit and glowing young talent on court.

Leading the charge were the top three finishers, Troyden Hadji (1st), Daniel Snyman (2nd) and Zack Ehlers (3rd), who proudly posed with their medals and certificates alongside Green Turf co-owners Janine Snyman and George Hadji.

Fast-paced and fun, padel continues to surge in popularity among local youngsters, blending elements of tennis and squash into an accessible, high-energy sport.

According to Janine, the league has proven to be about far more than results.

She said participants have shown clear improvements in fitness, co-ordination and confidence, while also building teamwork skills and friendships in a positive, community-driven environment.

“Watching these kids grow not only in their padel skills but also in character and confidence has been incredibly rewarding,” said Janine.

“Padel at Green Turf is about creating a space where every child feels encouraged, included and motivated to do their best.”

Co-owner George echoed the sentiment, praising the spirit of the competition.

“We are proud of every child who took part. Their dedication, sportsmanship and enjoyment made this league special. It’s about bringing families together and building an active community.”

George added that parents have welcomed the positive impact of the sport on their children, noting happier, more active children eager to return each week.

Furthermore, he said with its family-friendly atmosphere and quality facilities, Green Turf continues to cement itself as a hub for youth sport in the area.
