Adjustable in stance, driving dynamics, driving pleasure and ride comfort
"Relying on a three-way adjustable valve technology for coilover suspension kits gives us completely new possibilities in suspension design," said KW brand manager, Jonas Ehrmann.
New suspension for Porsche 911 (992) developed
The KW Variant 4 coilover suspension is now available for the current Porsche 911 (992), with or without a front axle lift system.
The height-adjustable suspension offers the feature of independently tuning the driving dynamic parameters specifically in the low-speed and high-speed compression stage as well as the low-speed rebound stage. The Porsche 911 Carrera, Carrera S, Turbo and Turbo S can be stepless, lowered by up to 35 millimetres. KW coilover suspensions with adjustable damper characteristics will soon be released for further Porsche 911 models of the 992 series.
For all models of the Porsche 911, including all air-cooled Porsche 911 as well as other Porsche vehicles such as Cayman, Cayenne or Macan, KW automotive offers a broad delivery programme in height and damper characteristics adjustable coilover suspension kits. KW multivalve technology provides enhanced driving dynamics and ride comfort.
“Relying on a three-way adjustable valve technology for coilover suspension kits gives us completely new possibilities in suspension design,” said KW brand manager, Jonas Ehrmann.
“When adjusting the V4 further to your own driving style, you can separate the low-speed compression stage valve for slow piston rod movements, such as those that occur during steering and chassis rolling movements, and for fast damping speeds, such as those that occur during heavy compression due to bumps in the road, you adjust the high-speed compression stage valve,” Ehrmann explained.
On the Turbo and Turbo-S models, a lowering of between 20 and 35 millimeters can be set on both axles with the suspension. But the main focus of the KW Variant 4 coilover suspension kit is to improve the ride quality and driving dynamics of the Porsche 911.
