A doggone great party
A party to celebrate the birthdays of three Brakpan dogs recently had the tails wagging.
Pekingese dogs Chloë, Snowy and Mickey, owned by Brakpan resident Elize Steytler, were treated to a Smurf and Smurfette-themed party on Saturday, last week.
Chloë turned seven, and Snowy and Mickey will be two and one in December, respectively.
The party was held at Doggy L’amour Exclusive and Luxury Pet Accommodation in Brakpan and the pampered pups were joined by 13 other canine friends, all of whom donned party hats.
They enjoyed fun activities and games, as well as a doggy candy buffet, where they enjoyed sweet treats such as peanut and carrot cupcakes.
Steytler hosts a party for her precious pets – all of whom are rescue animals — every year.
Last year’s party had a ladybug theme, complete with a ladybug birthday cake, and canine guests were treated to a mini-pampering session by a mobile dog groomer.
