The school achieved a 94.4 per cent pass rate in the National Senior Certificate examinations — a result of which Nkopane is extremely proud.
“Our results have improved not only in quantity, but in quality,” he said.
“There has also been a significant increase in the number of distinctions the learners attained.”
Fifteen learners attained three distinctions or more and 71 learners qualified for university entrance.
Many of these attained at least one or two distinctions each.
“We have made an impact on the subjects that are perceived to be difficult,” said Nkopane.
“Sciences and mathematics yielded the most distinctions, while we had a 96 per cent pass rate in accounting.
“I am delighted with the performance of our learners and the dedication of our teachers.
“Our teachers put in a lot of effort and have shown a lot of depth in content knowledge on the subjects that they teach.
“Our sustained, remarkable academic performance can be attributed to the teamwork that is displayed by the stakeholders at the institution.
“The parents and educators cooperate for the benefit of learners.”
Nkopane thanked the Afrisun Trust and Carnival City for their continued support of the Sci-Com Saturday School project at the school.
