The 26-year-old was arrested in Brakpan, on Wednesday, last week, after police followed up on information.
Capt Joep Joubert, spokesperson for the Brakpan Police Station commander, told the Herald the man was wanted for allegedly pointing a gun at his girlfriend and assaulting her in 2008.
“After further investigation, it was established that the man may be linked to a case of housebreaking and theft, which also took place in 2008,” he said.
“He was also wanted for a business robbery that took place last year.”
Joubert hoped the arrest would serve as a warning to other criminals.
“The long arm of the law will eventually get you,” he added.
