Three burglaries were reported.
Jewellery, a television set, cash, tools and electrical goods were stolen from homes along Second Road, Sallies Village, and Milton Street and Hove Street in Dalpark.
A car parked along Craven Street, Brakpan North, was broken into and cash was stolen.
Saturday
A silver Chevrolet bakkie was stolen from Hendrik Potgieter Street, Dalpark, and a black Eaglewing scooter was stolen from Stoffberg Avenue.
Thieves broke into a car parked at an address along Kitzinger Avenue, and stole a pair of pants, a pair of tekkies, a laptop and the vehicle’s radio.
Two television sets, jewellery, a laptop and other household goods were stolen from a home along Civin Road, Sonneveld.
A bag containing schoolbooks, a pair of shoes and an extension cord was stolen from an address along Mouton Road, Withok Estates.
Two robbers were arrested after robbing a man at gunpoint along Ergo Road, Vulcania.
The man was approached by the pair, one of whom was armed with a gun, while he was fixing a vehicle on the side of the road at about 3.30pm.
They pointed the gun at him and robbed him of his cellphone and R280, and fled.
The Brakpan Crime Prevention Unit arrested the men shortly afterwards.
Sunday
A Withok Estates man and his family were held up and robbed in their home, along 22nd Road, by five men.
The man had gone outside at about 7pm to investigate why his dogs were barking, when he was confronted by a group of men.
One of the robbers pointed a firearm at him and instructed him to go back inside the house.
Once inside, the robbers gathered the man’s family in the lounge and bound his hands together with shoelaces.
The man was searched and his firearm was taken.
The robbers ransacked the house, taking electrical appliances and jewellery, and fled in the family’s blue Volkswagen Polo.
